SEWANEE, Tenn. - In the Tigers' second Southern Athletic Association (SAA) home match of the 2019 season, the Sewanee volleyball team posted a 3-0 sweep of Millsaps, Saturday afternoon inside Juhan Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers got out to a strong start with a 10-2 lead in the opening set en route to a 25-14 victory. Sewanee out-attacked Millsaps, 10-5, and limited the Majors to a -.103 attack percentage (5-8-29).
-The momentum stayed in Sewanee's favor in the second set, winning six of the first eight points. However, the Majors rallied to take the lead in the set, 11-10.
-From there, the teams stayed within two points of each other, but it was Sewanee who had 25-21 set victory.
-In the third set, the Tigers limited the errors on the offensive attack with three in the final set as the Purple and Gold won the set, 25-18, to claim the team's 11th win of the season.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Destiny Stewart posted nine kills and eight digs in the contest.
-Constance Connolly had a double-double with 21 assists and 12 digs to go along with four service aces.
MILLSAPS KEY STATISTICS
-Morgan Vincent and McKenzi Petricko each posted five kills to lead the Majors.
Sewanee will wrap up the weekend homestand Sunday with a key matchup with Birmingham-Southern.
