
SEWANEE, Tenn. - Two first half goals by Meredith secured the match on Saturday, as the Sewanee women's soccer team fell to the Avenging Angels, 2-1, Saturday afternoon from Puett Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The contest started 40 minutes late due to lightning in the area.
-In the 20th minute, Meredith found the back of the net first on a goal by Jessica Wallace.
-Seven minutes later, the Avenging Angels added a second goal off the foot of Hannah Elvington via a Morgan Tingen assist.
-Held scoreless until the 77th minute, Mena Kerrison broke the clean sheet attempt with an unassisted goal.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Caitlin Fahr led the Tigers with four shots, three on goal, while Gillian Campbell added two shots.
-Mena Kerrison recorded the lone goal for the Tigers in the contest.
-Hanna Judycki (0-1-1) saved four shots in full time for Sewanee.
MEREDITH KEY STATISTICS
-Jessica Wallace netted one goal on five shots, and Madison Gladwell also added a goal.
-Kat Pike (1-1) saved three shots in the first half for Meredith.
