Katie Roth Named Tiger of the Week

SEWANEE, Tenn. - Sewanee women's basketball guard Katie Roth has been selected as Tiger of the Week after her performance on the hardwood in three road games last week.

Off the bench against Welch, Roth tied a season-best with four assists to go with three boards and two boards in 23 minutes.

The junior earned two starts inside conference play last weekend at Oglethorpe and Berry. Against OU, Roth played 25 minutes and grabbed four boards to go with her five points.

Roth took her rebounding skills to Berry on Sunday as well, totaling nine boards, with five coming on the offensive glass. She added three dimes and nearly missed a double-double with eight points.

The Nashville, Tenn. native finished the week with 16 rebounds, 15 points on 6-of-13 shooting and nine assists.

Roth and the Tigers wrap up the five-game road swing this weekend with a trip to Rhodes on Friday before concluding with Hendrix on Sunday.
