SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee softball team suffered a Friday doubleheader sweep from the Tiger Softball Field, falling 5-2 in game one before an 8-0 defeat in the nightcap.

HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME 1
-The Warriors tallied a run in the top of the first inning on an RBI single before the visitors added a run in the third.
-The Warriors added single digit runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh to seal the contest.
HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME 2
-After two scoreless innings, the Warriors scored three runs in the third before tallying five in the fourth to put the contest in run-rule.
-The Tigers only laced three singles and a double.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Taylor Wagner laced a double as a part of a 2-for-3 game one. She added a hit in game two.
HENDRIX KEY STATISTICS
-Jordan Mallard went 3-for-4 in game one with a double, triple and an RBI. She also added two hits and an RBI in the game two.
-Stephanie Combs (3-0) earned the win in relief, allowing one run on five hits with five strikeouts.
-Savannah Draud (5-5) struck out four in five shutout innings.
The series finale is set for a noon first pitch on Saturday.
