LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Sewanee cross country teams ran at the 2019 Louisville Classic on Saturday.

-In the women's silver race, primarily for NCAA Division III institutions, the race was originally scheduled to be a 5K, but due to technical difficulties on the course, the event was shortened to a 3.9K.
-Molly Joseph finished 117th out of 255 runners in this section with a 15:13.2.
-Ellie Herron earned a 15:36.8 mark, while Ann Chapman Haynes ran a 15:43.1.
-Other finishers in this race include Janie Schmitt (16:06.4), Madison Sellers (16:54.8) and Elizabeth Chandler (17:06.2).
-Massachusetts Institute of Technology won the event, and the team finished third at last season's NCAA Cross Country Championships.
-In the blue race, Perry Gresham (22:00.5) and Mary Ackerly (22:29.5) ran personal bests in a 5K race.
-In the men's silver 8K race, Ash Midyett had a 122nd place finish out of 276 runners with a personal best time of 26:19.4.
-Jack Barganier, after winning the Sewanee Invitational last week, earned a new personal best with a 26:29.6 mark.
-North Central (Ill.), who won the NCAA Men's Cross Country Championship last season, won the 40-team event.
Sewanee is back in action on Oct. 19 with the Berry Invitational.
