MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Sewanee cross country teams competed at the 2018 Southern Athletic Association Cross Country Championships, hosted by Rhodes College on Saturday. The women's team finished in fourth, while the men earned a fifth place mark.

-12 of the 13 runners for Sewanee improved their 6K times in Saturday's conference meet.
-Avery Jordan led the Tigers with a 19th place finish, recording a time of 24:14.6.
-Ann Chapman Haynes earned a 23rd place finish with a time of 24:42.0, while Meg Legro ran across at 26th with a personal best time of 24:48.6.
-Perry Gresham ran the 6K race in 25:18.1, while Adriana Hibarra (personal best) and Hannah Faulkner came across back-to-back at 25:29.4 and 25:30.5, respectively.
-Ellie Herron rounded out the Sewanee scoring with a 26:02.1 time.
-Ash Midyett qualified as an All-Conference Honorable Mention with his 15th place time of 27:03.1. The junior records his second All-Conference selection in his career.
-Jack Barganier recorded a 20th place finish in the 8K race with a 27:23.1 time, a new personal best for the junior.
-Bram Atkins posted a 28th place time of 27:45.7 for the Anchorage, Alaska native.
The Tigers will next compete at the NCAA South/Southeast Region Championships on Nov. 10, hosted by Berry College.
