No. 18 Men’s Tennis Posts 5-4 Win in Wittenberg Battle

SEWANEE, Tenn. - The 18th-ranked Sewanee men's tennis team rallied to down the Ohio Tigers of Wittenberg, 5-4, Monday afternoon inside the Guerry Indoor Courts.

-The visiting Tigers saw themselves up 2-1 after doubles play. Brandon Kali and Thomas Harrison claimed the lone win for the Purple and Gold with an 8-0 shutout at the No. 2 flight.

-In singles play, the Tigers rallied to win four of the six positions. The match would eventually come down to Ryan Wax at the No. 5 position. The freshman downed Luke Mindard, 6-2, 6-0, to seal the victory and the team's third straight 5-4 decision. Sewanee has won two of the three 5-4 matches.
