MORE THAN JUST LAST YEAR: Of the nine games in the SAA Tournament, Sewanee's 10th meeting will be the Hendrix. The teams will meet for the fourth time, and they will meet for the third straight year.
In between two-point losses for Sewanee, including a game-ending buzzer-beater by the Warriors a year ago, came an 87-61 victory in the SAA Quarterfinals in the 2017 Tournament.
CLASS OF 2019: On Feb. 16 four student-athletes and one student coach were honored for their dedication to the men's basketball program: Will Braden, Hunter Buescher, Cam Caldwell, David Johnson and Matt Lee.
20 WINS IS A RARITY: The Tigers are seeking a 20-win season for just the fourth time in the team's 94-plus year history with a win in the SAA Quarterfinal on Friday.
The last time Sewanee won 20 games in a season came in 2016, when Sewanee finished 20-8 en route to an SAA Tournament Final appearance.
Sewanee also won 20 games in 1998 and a school record 23 in 1973, and in both of those seasons, the program earned a berth in the NCAA Championships.
HALFWAY TO ASSIST RECORD: In Sewanee's 77-67 victory over Centre on Feb. 16, he became the 11th Tiger to hit the 200 career assist mark in program history.

The Tigers are 13-6 this season when limiting themselves to 15 turnovers or fewer.
When Sewanee wins the turnover battle, the Tigers are 10-2 and 16-6 in the Mick Hedgepeth era.
EARNING MINUTES WHEN IT COUNTS: In 14 conference games, Cam Caldwell has recorded 32.5 minutes per game, second-most on the team and has posted 13.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.
The senior has played 40 minutes in a game three times, including all 45 in the 61-59 overtime win over Rhodes on Feb. 3.
CLIMBING UP THE RANKS: With the 77-67 win over Centre on Feb. 16, head coach Mick Hedgepeth is sixth all-time in wins in the men's basketball.
Currently at 33-17, he is tied Rick Jones's 33 from 1981-83.
