SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee field hockey team has announced that they will host a summer camp on July 26-28.

The Sewanee Field Hockey Camp is designed for Sewanee Prospects and high school athletes looking to improve their skill set, offensively and defensively, by working closely with head coach Steve Simpson, assistant coach Tori Shaffer, and current college field hockey players. Campers will stay two nights in our dorms, all meals included, and gain an understanding of the experiences that our campus offers.

The camp is for ages 14-18 or rising ninth to 12th graders. The cost if $400 to stay on campus in the dorms and $250 for those who wish to commute.

Included in the price of your camp is two nights in Sewanee dorm rooms, five meals at McClurg dining hall, a t-shirt and coaching and athletic training staff. We will collect a check at registration for $60, payable to 'Sewanee Field Hockey,' to cover the dorm key and 'RFID' chipped Sewanee meal card. This check will be returned at the end of camp.

Practice sessions will include individual skill work, tactical thinking, game-like situations and game play.

The schedule for the three-day camp is as follows:
Friday, July 26
1 p.m. - Check in
3 p.m. - Campus Tour
5 p.m. - Dinner
6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m - Practice session
10 p.m. - Lights out

Saturday, July 27
8 a.m. - Breakfast
9 a.m. - 12 p.m. - Practice session
12:15 p.m. - Lunch
1:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. - Practice session
5 p.m. - Dinner
6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. - Practice session
10 p.m. - Lights out

Sunday, July 28
8 a.m. - Breakfast
9 a.m. - 11 a.m. - Practice session
12 p.m. - Checkout
