Jo Jo Matlock Named Tiger of the Week

SEWANEE, Tenn. - Junior defensive lineman Jo Jo Matlock has been named Tiger of the Week following his performance in last Saturday's 34-13 win over Birmingham-Southern.

In consecutive plays during the fourth quarter, the Quebeck, Tenn. native found Trevor Oates of Birmingham-Southern behind the line of scrimmage for two sacks. The junior accumulated 25 yards on the sacks.

On the day, Matlock had eight tackles, four for a loss, totaling 28 yards.

Matlock and the rest of the Tigers return to the gridiron Saturday to host Trinity. Kickoff is scheduled for noon from historic Hardee-McGee Field at Harris Stadium.
