MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Sewanee volleyball team were defeated on Saturday by 21st-ranked Berry to start the second half of Southern Athletic Association play Saturday afternoon, 3-1, from The Cage Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-This match felt like a playoff atmosphere throughout, as no team had a lead of more than four, with an exception to the second set.
-After Berry took the first set with a 25-20 score, Sewanee dropped 12 kills and limited the Vikings to a -.081 attack percentage (5-8-37) as the Tigers evened the match at one set apiece with a 25-14 win.
-Berry responded with 29 kills to Sewanee's 18 in the final two sets to win 25-20, 25-21.
-Constance Connolly assisted on 37 attacks, and she added 13 digs.
BERRY KEY STATISTICS
-Emily Hancock led all attackers with 16 kills and added 10 digs.
-Laurea Beier added 35 digs for the Vikings.
Sewanee will conclude a weekend trip in Georgia with a tri-match at Oglethorpe Sunday. The Tigers will battle with the Stormy Petrels, and they will conclude the day with a contest against No. 12 Emory.
