Sewanee uses strong attack in win at Transy
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 6, 2014) – Behind a strong offense, the Sewanee women's lacrosse team earned a 18-8 win at Transylvania, Sunday, at the Transy Athletic Complex.
The Tigers have now four straight contests and have not lost since their match at Redlands on March 20.
Sewanee netted 14 goals in the first half and four more in the second.
Overall, the Tigers outshot the Pioneers 32-24 and had a 39-28 advantage in groundballs.
In goal freshman Crawford Horan earned her ninth win with 13 saves. Additionally, Hylton, Alexis Crittenden, Grimm, Riddle, Richardson, Greenwood, Chelsea Staunton, Eliza Chapman, Wilson, and Caroline Murphy all had at least one caused turnover.
Sewanee will wrap up its regular season with a 1:00 p.m. senior day match against Birmingham-Southern on April 12.
