BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Sewanee swimming and diving teams continue to maintain fifth place heading into the final day of the 2018 Southern Athletic Association Swimming & Diving Championships.

MEN TOP PERFORMERS
-Lee Haber missed his season-best in the 400-yard individual medley by 0.41 seconds with a 4:09.42 time in the finals. He qualified with a 4:15.29 time in the prelims.
-Carl Failing earned a new season-best in the 100 butterfly finals, swimming to 51.72 seconds in the final.
-In the 100-yard backstroke, Failing won the prelims with a 51.35-second time, a new season-best for the freshman. In the final, he improved his season-best again with a second place time of 51.13 seconds.
-Andrew Freibert qualified for the 100 fly final with a 51.78-second time in the prelims. He swam 52.15 seconds in the final.
WOMEN TOP PERFORMERS
-In the 200-yard freestyle, Meghan Mulhern swam a 1:58.44 time in the consolation final to lead the category.
-Olivia Baker recorded a 1:08.92 time in the 100 breaststroke final.
The final day of the 2018 SAA Swimming & Diving Championships takes place Saturday from Birmingham CrossPlex.
