Adrian Thomas Named to D3hoops All-South Region Third Team

SEWANEE, Tenn. - Announced on Tuesday, sophomore Adrian Thomas has been selected to the D3hoops.Com All-South Region Third Team.

A day after earned First Team honors with the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), Thomas becomes the second Sewanee student-athlete to be listed as a member of this team, joining Brody Stone's Third Team selection a year ago.

The Chattanooga, Tenn. native finished his sophomore campaign leading the Southern Athletic Association in rebounds per game with 9.6 and second in points per contest with 18.4. His 57.1 percent mark from the field ranks fifth in the conference.

Nationally, the SAA Player of the Year ranks 47th in rebounds per contest and 53rd in field goal percentage, as well as in the category of defensive rebounds per game (6.8).

Head coach Mick Hedgepeth: Adrian is a special player who was extremely efficient and productive for our team this season. He was a key contributor to our team's success, and we could not be more proud of his hard work being recognized.

This is the 17th season D3hoops.Com has named All-Region teams.

Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools. There were more than 680 players nominated nationwide. The ballot was then made available to SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region.
