Sewanee Track Competes at Rhodes Invite

FULL RESULTS

MEMPHIS – The Sewanee track and field teams competed at the Rhodes Invitational Saturday and the women were 16th, while the Tiger men were 18th. Rhodes won the women’s competition, while Wisconsin-Stout won the men’s fields.

Cara Martin (Oklahoma City, Okla, Casady) highlighted the women’s effort with a second place finish in the 10k with a 41:06.68 finish. For the men, the Sewanee 4x800 relay team led after three legs and ended with a fourth place finish. Clay Bond (Atlanta, Ga., Lovett) was sixth in the 800 meter run with a 1:59.50. Chalankis Brown (Millbrook, Ala., Stanhope Elmore) finished eighth in the 100 meter dash with an 11.18.

Sewanee’s next competition will be at the Austin Peay Invitational next weekend in Clarksville.
