Framingham State Rallies from Five Runs Down to Defeat Sewanee 10-5

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. 3/19/10 – Trailing Sewanee 5-0 after five innings, Framingham State scored five runs in both the sixth and seventh innings and held on to defeat the Tigers 10-5 today in Winter Haven, Florida.

 

The Tigers jumped out to the early 5-0 lead scoring once in the first inning, three times in the second and once in the third.  Ram pitchers held the Sewanee batters to only one hit after the third inning.

 

Alan Komorowski (Rochester, N.Y., Aquinas Institute) led the seven-hit Sewanee attack with two hits, including a double, and 2 RBI.  Chase Riemer (Chattanooga, Ga., Baylor)also chipped in two hits.

 

Greg Bartleski (Charlottesville, Va., Covenant) suffered the loss on the mound for Sewanee working 6.2 innings allowing seven earned runs on four hits.

 

The Tigers are now 5-12 overall and 4-4 in Russ-Matt Invitational play.  Sewanee will wrap up their Florida spring break trip tomorrow when the square off with SUNY-Cobleskill at 9 a.m.
