MEMPHIS -- Rhodes beat Sewanee 60-44 in SCAC men's basketball in Memphis Friday night. Sewanee got out to an early lead and was leading 24-22 at the half, but Rhodes rallied for the win.
Garrett Hollingsworth (Roanoke, Va., North Cross) led Sewanee with eight points.
Tony Marelle (Atlanta, Ga., Mt. Pisgah) and
Tyler Brown (Goodlettsville, Tenn., Beech) led with seven rebounds each. Marelle had five assists, also. Sewanee led 37-34 in rebounds, but the Lynx had a 36-28 lead in field goal percentage.
Sewanee is now 4-16 and is 1-11 in the league. Rhodes is 9-11 and 4-8 in the SCAC. Sewanee will play at Birmingham-Southern Sunday and Rhodes will host Oglethorpe.
