“Magic on the Mountain”

This year, we continue with our Summer Soccer Camp Program of three day camps in June for boys & girls ages 5-11, two residential camps in July and the addition of a team camp during the last week of July.  As always, our goal is to offer our campers the most enjoyable and competitive experience possible.  Our first-class facilities and coaching staff create an environment for a magical week of soccer.  Regardless of your age and level of playing experience, our Summer Camp Program has something for everyone.  Whether attending the Half-day Camp or the ELITE-75 Residential Camp, each camper will come away with a special understanding and a new appreciation for what we call “Magic on the Mountain”.  We are excited about the opportunity to work with you this summer.  Online applications are available by clicking the link above.

All the best!

David Poggi Camp Director

Boys Residential Camps

Players attending our residential camps will have the opportunity to experience the “Magic on the Mountain”.  Campers will stay in one of the university dormitories located near the Tigers' practice fields, and meals will be taken at the McClurg Dining Hall.  (A Camp Store will be available for snacks and refreshments).  Other activities include: working with Sewanee's Head Strength, Speed & Conditioning Coach, swimming, a campus tour, soccer tennis, videos, a FUTSAL tournament, among other functions.  Current members of the Sewanee Men’s Soccer team will provide 24-hour supervision as well as serve as role models during your stay.

Advanced Academy (Two Age Groups: 11-13 & 14-16)

The Advanced Academy is designed for players we either haven’t had the opportunity to observe or aren’t ready (age wise) to be invited to the Elite-75.  Throughout the week campers will be afforded a planned program of technical and tactical training with applications to small sided and full field games. If the “game is the best teacher”, this camp will provide plenty of learning opportunities.  The Staff will be made up of current and former Sewanee Coaches and Players as well as several new trainers with youth, high school and college experience.

Elite-75 (Rising 11th and 12th Graders)

An invitation only camp, the Elite-75 is geared towards current and future players who are on our radar.  One of the goals of the Elite-75 camp is for the players to achieve a better, more professional understanding of Sewanee Soccer.  This camp will ask each player to physically and mentally solve problems quickly in game-like situations. In addition to assisting us in recruiting our future players, it is an opportunity to train along side our incoming freshmen, current Varsity players, the Tiger Men’s Soccer Staff and special clinicians.  In the end, this should serve as a thorough introduction to what a collegiate training environment is all like and an opportunity to raise your game to another level.

Team Camp (High School or Club)

Much like full national teams preparing for the World Cup, your team will have the opportunity to train together for a week in a neutral location, where qualified coaches, with your direction, will strive to make your team's experience as professional and enjoyable an environment as possible.  The goal of this camp is to offer your group the opportunity to build on and solidify the collectiveness amongst your team that will help lead to a meaningful season.
