SEWANEE, Tenn. 8/23/2010 The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its 2010 Academic Honor Roll today and two Sewanee players earned recognition.

SEWANEE, Tenn. -- It was Senior day for Sewanee women's lacrosse seniors Eliza Epps (Little Rock, Ark., Mt. St. Mary), Julia Anne McKeachie (Charleston, SC, St. James), Steffi Renninger (Darnestown, Md., Sidwell Friends) and Eliza Sholtz (Durham, NC, Durham Academy) Sunday and the Tigers pulled off a 19-3 win over the visiting Crusaders of Dallas. Sewanee led 15-2 at the half.

SEWANEE, Tenn. -- Megan Welton (Germantown, Tenn., Houston) was once again perfect with two goals on two shots and had a team high draw control count of seven to lead Sewanee's women's lacrosse team to an 18-0 shutout of LaGrange. The Tigers led 15-0 at the half.

SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee women's lacrosse team improved its record to 11-3 Friday night with a 27-19 win over Birmingham-Southern after getting out to an early 6-0 lead. The Tigers led the Panthers of 'Southern 12-7 at the half. Eighteen of Sewanee's 27 goals were assisted and Meg Welton (Germantown, Tenn., Houston) led the Tiger charge with a 100% shooting percentage for seven goals on seven shots. She also won 12 draw controls and caused four turnovers. Welton has 46 goals so far this year.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Molly Arnold (Brooklandville, Md., Bryn Mawr) scored five of her game-high seven goals in the second half to lead Sewanee past Guilford College 23-17 in a Division III women’s lacrosse match Sunday in Greensboro.
