ATLANTA -- Dickie Mccarthy's Tigers got up 32-27 for the halftime intermission at Oglethorpe in women's basketball action Saturday, but the host Petrels rallied in the second. The game was tied with 35 seconds left in the game, but OU's Sarah Giles hit a pair of free throws to get the final 63-61 two-point edge for the Stormy Petrels.

SEWANEE, Tenn. -- Sewanee hosted Centre in SCAC women's basketball Sunday and despite double-digit scoring performances by both Sewanee seniors in their final home game, Centre topped the host Tigers 77-64. Centre led 39-21 at the half. Sewanee rallied, pulling to within six five minutes into the second, but Centre held the Tigers off for the 13-point win.

2.12.10 | Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball
SEWANEE, Tenn. - Sewanee will host DePauw in SCAC basketball action tonight, with the women tipping off at 6 pm and the men at 8 pm. For the women, seniors Kelly Morrison (Bridgeport, W. Va., Notre Dame) and Jamie Robinson (Ft. Worth, Tex., Ft. Worth Country Day) will be honored during halftime of the men's game. For the men, senior Jeremy Simpson (Decatur, Tenn., McMinn County) will be honored before the men's game. Additionally, the Sewanee women will be participating in the WBCA's Pink Zone©.

The Pink Zone has over 1,500 schools particpating and is the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's way to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The team will warm up in pink sweats, wear ink laces, and the coaches and staff will be wearing pink.
